My last trip with HY was in Jan 2005. It's been 4 years! When my chan bros tour got cancelled due to H1N1 and just nice HY had a working trip to HKG, I took the opportunity to join her for a short weekend trip. How nice to be able to travel with gfs. I hope to do this at least once a year.
We stayed at Royal Garden Hotel. A pretty good hotel , in fact, the best hotel among my Hong Kong trips. Come to think of it, I've been to HKG 4 times and 3 times were with the same gf - HY.

We had a spacious room with comfy beds, bathtub, corridor.. a very pleasant surprise from the 'beancurd' size hotel room I was expecting.
Was attracted to the set lunch at the hotel's Japanese restaurant - Inagiku. Here, we had our first meal in HKG.

One of the best sashimi I ever had

After lunch, we went in search of the Prada/miu miu factory outlet. From Central MTR station, we took bus 590 at the bus terminal below Exchange Sq. With only the address as South Horizon Plaze, we got lost and alighted at some weird place.

Contrary to internet addresses, the location of Space Warehouse is not at South Horizon Plaze, but at this mall. (Near the end of bus route 590, about 20mins ride).

Alight at this mall and the factory outlet is facing the road.

Which colour would you choose?
After walking ard in the sun (and getting tanned) to find the Prada factory outlet, we couldnt wait to get back to town for our favourite dessert place - Hui Lau Shan (许留山).
Dessert time!

Dessert menu

In eager anticipation

shiok
Other shiok food we had:

Interesting name, nice place

Beancurd with almond cream / red bean

The best yin-yang I ever had (at a different place). Yummmm
All too soon, the 3 days of shopping and eating came to an end. We packed our bags (or rather, squeezed everything into our limited luggage) and had a good flight back. Overall, it was a lovely trip with classic blunders and funny encounters to laugh about for the next few months? years?

The photo we are most satisfied with. Taken at Fortress electronics store .
